Over the past decade, Mr Suraj Bacha Gian, Director of EMCL, has developed, co-authored, and led the preparation of numerous successful project proposals and concept notes. These projects have secured significant funding from prestigious donors such as UNDP, EU, MOL Charitable Trust, VARUNA, and national ministries. Proposals which were approved for funding were successfully implemented by Mr Bacha Gian during his tenure at the Mauritius Oceanography Institute, the NGOs Reef Conservation and Coral Garden Conservation, and at EMCL.
